Our water butt that was kindly made by Jack and Michael’s dad is up an running and today we used the collected rainwater for our bird bath! Thank you to Carmel and Finola for their work with the water butt and the biodiversity work today

These wonderful athletes completed the Gorey 5k run and are proudly wearing their medals!

Thank you to all who donated to our Ukraine collection. The spirit of solidarity is strong in the school and I have attached some images of artwork and the donations. We have started planting our corridor of sunflowers to welcome any refugees that may come to our school. They will receive a warm welcome from us

We have had an amazing week in school celebrating Engineers Week! Each class has engaged in engineering projects and had lots of fun through active learning in the process! Have a look through our pictures. Thanks to Kietan who represented Wexford County Council with a presentation on renewable energy to 5th and 6th class Our classes have also been challenged to a tower building competition – considering materials, modifications and reinforcements where necessary. We love the variety of entries so far. Stay tuned for the results next week!

Pictured: lucky 1st and 2nd class had a trip to the library today. Their speaker had to cancel at short notice but we arranged for them to go on a library detective hunt instead. They enjoyed stories there and received a free book to mark World Book Day tomorrow. I am delighted with how well they behaved.
