We are delighted to be organising a book collection for children in Malawi. Malawi is a landlocked country on the continent of Africa with a very low GDP. We were shocked to learn that the pupil teacher ratio in Junior Infants is 130:1 and the children have no books. As an English speaking country, they will find our books most useful. We are so lucky and privileged to have access to so many good quality reading materials. We hope that our students have felt the importance of selecting some of their pre-loved books for donation and of the impact that this will make to the lives of these children.
