Arklow Music and Drama Festival

Children from junior and senior infants, 1st and 2nd classes and 6th class took art in the annual music and drama festival in Arklow. All classes excelled in their relevant age groups in the category of ‘action poem’. Junior infants performed ‘I wish I was a Sailor’ by Mary Whelan and were highly commended on their performance. All children really looked the part in their lovely sailor costumes. 1st and 2nd classes performed a Gabriel Fitzmaurice poem about walking in the country. Junior Entrepreneur Programme 2017

Sixth class are currently in the throws of entrepreneurship. They are presently at stage 6 of a 7 stage process, which involves the children coming up with some business ideas, facing a board of ‘dragons’, deciding on a class project, meeting a business person, identifying one’s own capabilities and strengths within the area of business, choosing a team that he/she is best suited to and finally, making it all happen.
