Amazing efforts from our pupils and staff today! Happy mid term everyone!
You can’t beat Old School! Mrs Russell and Ms ní Shúilleabháin brought back the goods from a seminar with Jenny Moseley yesterday and kicked off Friday with whole school clapping and circle games. We loved seeing the buddy systems between senior and junior classes. Click on the link to enjoy!

* Well done to all who entered our challenge last night. In many cases, there was no absolute right answer and we prompted the children to justify their answer. This will be a focus in the incoming new Maths curriculum and we really welcome this. Well done to PJ whose name was pulled out of the hat and wins today’s prize.
* Tonight’s Maths Week challenge is also open to interpretation. We invite children to look at one of the pictures and choose the odd one out. Justify your reasoning with a sentence in your journal to be in with a chance to win a prize tomorrow! (Not in picture are entrants from Mr. Breen’s as it was too wet to come over, hopefully the new classrooms will be ready soon!)
* Pictured are some of the brilliant Maths weeks entries we have received so far! The questions are great. Two more days to enter!

The current building work has captured the curiosity and imagination of jnr and snr infants and they are exploring The Construction Site in Aistear. Some future quantity surveyors in our midst! Only a few weeks until we move in to our new rooms!
Excitement is building already and the repertoire can be heard around school as these super singers prepare for their big night!! @SingOutLoudWex
Some nature base play captured! We have big plans for nature based learning going forward and may be asking parents with skills to come on board as we develop this area. More to follow…..
Caoimhe and Tabitha dictated an email to me which we sent to the Parents’ Association in response to their survey regarding the 6th class gift. Hearing the pupil voice is so important to us and we are grateful to the PA for extending this invitation to the pupils. It’s also important that we model gratitude for such kind gestures. Well done girls!
