Before we sign off for the weekend, we say a big well done to Ms. D’Arcy’s pupils who all scored over 90 and with first class honours in their Speech and Drama exams! Well done to all the pupils and of course to Ms. D’Arcy!

Ms. ní Shúilleabháin’s class had a brilliant day today at Arklow Bay Hotel where they learned more about emissions, climate change and air quality. They listened to speakers and engaged in some very interesting experiments! They enjoyed a lovely, hot lunch at the end! They brought an algae experiment back to school which will replicate the effect of 40 trees being planted in the classroom! We will keep you posted!

We would like to wish Jack Tallon all the luck in the world as he represents our school in the regional heats of The Eason Spelling Bee having won the school heat! We know you will be great, Jack!

We have had so many ingenious entries for our marble run challenge. We like to inspire our young creative minds. Part of the challenge was to consider materials and the children really rose to the challenge. We love the diversity of scale and creativity! Click on the links to view! You will really enjoy these!

We had a fantastic week at Arklow Music Festival with every class entering a competition. We came away with a third place, a 2nd place and 4 first place trophies!! More than this was the feeling of jobs well done, rehearsals that were enjoyed, collaboration with friends, face paint and costumes that added to the fun and the real life embodiment of the drama and arts curriculum.I would like to thank the teachers for their direction and enthusiasm.
