Virtual Sports Day 2020!

We are delighted to launch our preparations for Virtual Sports Day today! This morning, our families will be downloading their apps which will allow them to record their daily activities. There’s something for everyone; from sprint to egg and spoon to welly throw! I think there will be great competition amongst the classes! Huge thanks to Mr. Breen and Ms. D’Arcy for coordinating and to all the teachers for rolling it out with their classes. Check out https://healthy-kidz.com for more info!

Amber Flag Award!

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing our first Amber Flag for the promotion of positive mental health in our school. Amber Flag is run by Pieta House. Now more than ever, we value the importance of positive mental health and mental resilience. We look forward to building on our mental health practices when we return to school. We believe that our Amber Flag and Active Flag work well in tandem with one another. A healthy mind in a healthy body.

Drop Everything And Read!

Today we came together in a shared love of reading as we dropped everything and read at 12 noon. DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time was marked across the country and we decided to take it a step further by dressing up for the occasion! Our teachers, SNAs and pupils all got on board. It was a great feeling to be gathered in a school community (albeit a virtual one) until we can meet in person again. Well done everyone! Enjoy the photos!
