The cup visits the school!

The girls took great pride in bringing their cup around the classes today!! We have fingers and toes crossed for them for their match tomorrow v Blackwater! Also pictured – Caoimhe who was player of the tournament for AGB last week. A great week for all!

A trip to the library – Hallowe’en style!

Senior infants had a blast at the library in Arklow today! Huge thanks to Kathy Scott who dressed up as the witch in Julia Donaldson’s Room on the Broom and read to the children before they set off an a library hunt followed by a Hallowe’en an art lesson. We are so lucky to have such enthusiastic librarians in our locality!

District champions!

Following their great victory at the district final, this wonderful team will be representing us in the county semi-final on Thursday at 3pm up at Tomnahely (Castletown pitch). We would really love for their school mates to support them! All support would be more than welcome!!!

Maths Week 2022 – week beginning October 18th

We are enjoying a range of activities this week! Some classes enjoyed a ‘doubling’ webinar this morning. They heard the story of ‘Cuthbert sees double’ and enjoyed a doubling game afterwards! Perfect for this rainy day!!

Castletown County Champs!

Memories being made! We were thrilled to welcome the winning team to school today fresh from their huge victory yesterday! Thanks to the team for inspiring the children to see that they could be coming back to school in a few years with the cup! A historic occasion with 12 county finals under the belt – unrivalled!
