5th and 6th class are really enjoying Biology in a Box and undertook a really interesting experiment on the lungs today!

Pictured is Eoghan who was spotted very kindly looking after a junior infant who fell on yard. He brushed his hands down and helped him up! We love to see these acts of kindness – enjoy your sweet treats Eoghan!

Yesterday, we welcomed Cathy Lee back and she brought Alan Poole (BAT man and general bat expert!!) and Sean with her to teach 2nd, 3rd and 4th classes all about bats! We decided to be bat positive after this talk!! It was most interesting and the children learned lots!

Nothing like a good research project to kick start the new year!

We have had the BEST DAY !! Our old friend Cookie Sparkles came to visit and brought all her magic and fun with her! Click the links to see what she got up to!! 5th and 6th class had a great time decorating Christmas cupcakes and washed them down with hot chocolate whilst watching a movie! We have such an amazing board of management and Parents’ Association who sponsor experiences and memories such as these!!

The standard was as high as ever for our annual sustainable Christmas decoration competition! We had some worthy winners and each competitor won a little prize for their great efforts. The children really get on board with this competition!

Ms. Penston’s class decorated their class tree with homemade decorations. Such fun! We love sustainability!

3rd and 4th class really enjoyed their visit to Carnew Mart today where they learned about farm safety and enjoyed a tour of the mart. They were treated to nuggets and chips and a goodie bag! A great day all round!
