We purchased concrete material kits for each class following whole staff training in the new maths curriculum. Here, senior infants are using them to great effect in spatial awareness work to create models of their bedrooms. Early lessons in scale!

Ms. Hearne, Ms ní Shúilleabháin and Ms. D’Arcy entered a number of groups into Scór na bPáistí in Bunscoil Loreto, Gorey. We had ballad singers, solo singers, instrumentation groups and recitation. All children performed beautifully and represented us so well. Congratulations to PJ and Teagan who made it through to round 2 and best of luck to PJ who has progressed to round 3 – we are rooting for you, PJ!

We are delighted to have solar panels installed today. Flynn and Zac are showing us the wonderful monitor that we received as part of the package – it shows the children what emissions have been saved, how many trees/ kgs of coal have been saved and details weather, sunset/sunrise times and displays data in bar chart form. What an interesting way to bring the new maths curriculum to life as they pass by on the corridor!
