We would like to extend an invite to parents and their incoming junior infants to an induction morning on Friday 24th June at 9.30am. You will meeet me, Emer Russell, and your child’s teacher Orla Morris. Your children will have the opportunity to have a little play and then you will be invited outside where there will be a mini obstacle course for the children. WOW!! What a day! I am sure that parents have really tired little people at home today after a jam packed Active Week which culminated in our Croghan Climb. It was just fantastic to see so many parents, we really missed this sense of community during Covid. Well done to 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th who reached the summit!!!

* Thanks to all who joined us for Walk a Mile with a Smile – Superhero Style! There were some great costumes on show!! Thank you to Ms. Ryan for the encouragement!! * Our Wake up Shake up was great fun today. Ms. D’Arcy posed some challenges that contortionists would have trouble with!!! The penguin race was a hit!

What a fun start to the day! Thanks to all who joined us for Cha Cha Slide!! It was lovely to enjoy such fun with families whilst being active! We had Eoin from Gorey rugby club in coaching us in tag rugb y today which is alwasy a hit. Huge congratulations to the winning mini world cup side! Today, Man City were victorious and Jack Kenny was the top goal scorer of the tournament! Well done Jack!! Proving ‘mens sana in corpore sano’ is true, we had a chess display from Michael and Sharon also! SO much fun today for Tuesday of Active Week! Tug of war proved to be very competitive and so much fun! Children also engaged in motor skills activities (using Lego and marshmallows) showing activity in all its forms! There were circuits for infants and 5th class received active leadership from Mary Flynn of Sport Active Wexford. I will upload pictures and videos as the week goes on! ACTIVE HOMEWORK – Cha cha slide (see link in yesterday’s post), we hope families are having fun practicing and you are all welcome to join us at 9 tomorrow to do it together on yard!

Ms. Ryan’s class had great fun investigating the new resources in Gorey library. Who knew libraries could be so much fun! Many thanks to the staff for a fun morning! It’s always lovely to sign off with an ice-cream….
