Communions and Confirmations 2022
The following information has been requested by the parish office for anyone making First Holy Communion or Confirmation in 2022. ‘ We are now taking registrations for Communions and Confirmations for 2022, I would be grateful if you could let the parents of children who are due to make their Communion and Confirmation to log onto www.arklowparish.ie and register their child’ Parents are asked to: Fill in all details asked for on the application form If their Child was baptised in the Parish of Arklow, Castletown or Johnstown to give exact date of baptism If their Child was baptised outside the Parish to make sure to send in copy of Baptism Cert … Continue reading

Our new Green School Committee!
`Here are the members of our new Green School Committee. They have a great plan of work for the year ahead including monthly talks with classes around specialist subjects, auditing energy use in school, reducing litter, increasing recycling and getting our wonderful parents involved in some green projects! Hearing the student voice
Pictured: We place huge importance on the importance of the student voice and with this in mind have a number of new councils up and running. Pictured are The Amber Council – prioritising mental health in school and The Active Council – prioritising fitness and wellness. These councils work very well hand in hand and will run a number of initiatives over the year. We also have our Student Council (pictured earlier in the week) and our Green Council (we will post their photo soon). Keep up the great work everyone! Science Week – Wednesday
* 3rd/4th class had a really interesting session for Science Week as they explored fish today. The class was really engaged and produced some super work afterwards! Huge thanks to WIT for supplying this great educational opportunity!

Day 5: Nature and Climate Summit – school clean up
Friday 05/11/2021 What a great way to finish ClimateandNatureSummit21! 5th/6th class presented their findings on sustainable farming, deforestation and climate change to 3rd/4th class in our outdoor classroom. Look at that sky!! Thanks to all who got stuck in for a school clean up last thing today – we are so lucky to have such beautiful grounds!
