Runny noses! What to do!

Children with a blocked or runny nose, but no fever, may attend school but if they require paracetamol/ibuprofen they must stay home for 48 hours and parent should contact GP to see if test is required. Thank you for your cooperation.

Back to school!

This image gives us great joy! Here we have happy, interested children learning in their pods. Children are remarkably adaptable and have made the transition with great ease. Have a great weekend everyone!

Scoil Ghormáin Naofa welcomes its new pupils!

A rainy day did little to dampen the smiles of our pupils as they entered school for the first time! All settled in so well, it was like they had been here years! We are delighted to welcome them into our community!

Ready to welcome our students back!

I thought that posting pictures of our school’s measures to keep Covid at bay might give some reassurance to parents and students as they prepare for school opening. Below is a sample classroom, set up in pods and socially distanced yet still a lovely bright classroom to come back to. Our classrooms all have fixed sanitiser stations containing correct alcohol regulation percentage sanitiser. We have replaced towels with paper towels and have sourced ecologically friendly paper towels as we keep up our Green School ethos! Dear Parents, Below is a link to a document unique to our school. It contains important information that you should familiarise yourselves with prior to school reopening. Return of book rental

An important message about return of book rental books. Please return your child’s books from last year on Monday 24th August between 9.30 and 12 noon. Books should be in a sealed plastic bag labelled with your child’s name. There will be a drop off depot on the yard on the day, this will be announced closer to the time. Parents, please note that school tracksuits and water bottles will be available for sale in school at the following times on Tuesday 25th August: Jnr infants: 9am Snr infants: 9.45 1st/2nd 10.15 3rd/4th: 10.45 5th/6th 11.15 Your cooperation in adhering to the timetable is appreciated given the current situation.
