What a wonderful time we had last Friday, celebrating Grandparents’ Day! We deferred the date so that travelling grandparents could avail of the Bank Holiday time with their families. The day started with a beautiful Mass concelebrated by Fr. John and Fr. David. 6th class played tin whistle and there was beautiful music throughout. Many children read prayers and brought gifts. Thank you to Ms. Byrne for her hard work.
After the Mass, our wonderful Parents’ Association provided a lovely reception with treats donated by our families. The reception area was beautifully decorated in appreciation of our special guests, our grandparents.
Each class performed their festival piece for grandparents which was greatly enjoyed by all.
Throughout the day a candle was lighting in memory of our beloved grandparents who we have loved and lost.
