Grandparents’ Day
What a wonderful time we had last Friday, celebrating Grandparents’ Day! We deferred the date so that travelling grandparents could avail of the Bank Holiday time with their families. The day started with a beautiful Mass concelebrated by Fr. John and Fr. David. 6th class played tin whistle and there was beautiful music throughout. Many children read prayers and brought gifts. Thank you to Ms. Byrne for her hard work. After the Mass, our wonderful Parents’ Association provided a lovely reception with treats donated by our families. Céilí rehearsal – Seachtain na Gaeilge

Arklow Music Festival
Wow – what a week we had performing in various competitions at Arklow Music Festival. Each class entered and I was immensely proud of all their performances! A special word of congratulations must go to Mr. Breen and Ms. ní Shuileabháin who won first prize for their rendition of ‘There’s a Monster in the Garden’, by David Harmer. Literacy in action
Today we launched our literacy competition for this term. Our genre this time is Recount and all children will write their recount based on their experience of Arklow Music Festival, thus combining English, Art, Music, Drama and SPHE. Good luck to all!
